Southern Drawl

For the 3rd week of the 2015 Newfoundland hunting season I had the pleasure of hosting 4 hunters from North Carolina. Scott McNeely and Brad Craig where my two hunters that I would hunt with all week. Scott hunted with me before and as a great sense of humour. The whole group had fun all week and we laughed the most about trying to understand our Newfoundland slur versus their Southern Drawl. What I learned from them is how to say “Y’all” and how to cook “grits”. They learned “Nippers Are Tic” and how to cook with “salt pork”. Needless to say it was an awesome week with our hunting camp tagged out with 4 bulls. Scott took this nice bull on day 3 of the hunt to go with his trophy caribou that he killed on Monday.
